Synopsis:
After a failed seasonal hunt, a tribesman
is left for dead and lost. Ruminating on
losing his mother as a child when she
saved his life, he looks to the sky to see a
shooting star crash on a distant mountain.
Remembering his mother’s words that
this is a sign from the ancestors on where
to go, he sets off on the journey to reach
this star. After much struggle and
obstacles, he reaches the summet to find
a time machine hibernation chamber in
the snow. Seeing the key his mother gave
him as a boy around his neck, he unlocks
the chamber. His mother emerges.
Back story:
It is the year 2542, lead scientist, Dr. Yura is working on a time machine for company ‘Azone’ who have now established a tyrannical governing system in the US. As Dr. Yura makes advancements on the government project, she gradually discovers the dark intentions of the cooperation wanting to use time travel to change time and rule the world. As tensions build, Yura times her escape with the technological chamber, stopping the chances of the technology being used or replicated ever again.
On a seemingly kamikaze mission, Yura is shot back in time, without knowing where she will end up. The chamber lands in what was then Siberia 4000BC. After a Hunter gather discovers the strange object fallen from the sky, He unlocks the chamber to meet Yura. The two fall in Love at first sight and soon after Yura is embraced within the tribe and marries the man she meets. She starts life afresh, raising her son Kaskae, who is to be the next tribe leader following in his fathers footsteps.
At the age of 7 years old, The boy is welcomed to his tribes seasonal hunt, as he will need to learn to lead them in the future so that the tribe will continue to stand strong.
As chaos erupts and a pack of wolves ambush the hunters the child is one of the victims with Yura unable to save him. Losing the key to unlock the time chamber in the chaos, Yura decides to go against her morals to not interfere with time for the love of her son and blasts off to before the hunt to meet her past self. After being awakened by her former self, Yura tells her all that will happen, explaining that the only way to save they're son is to die in his place so that the time line will remain stable. Yura from the past agrees and afterward hands her key to her boy, knowing that her future self will be waiting for him later in his life to awake her.
After the Hunting events unfold again, Yura dies saving her son without interfering with timeline but being apart of it. Kaskae is now left with the key not knowing that his Mother will be waiting for him in the future; there is a flickering hope on the horizon. Yura travels to the Future one last time without a key, holding on to the hope that she will be awakened by her grown up son she is yet to ever meet.
